A gentle approach to whole-body health using about 5 grams of pressure (weight of a nickel), CranioSacral Therapy is effective treatment therapy for all ages from newborn babies to seniors, from highly athletic to moderately active lifestyles.
I evaluate the CranioSacral system by testing for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid. I utilize simple manual techniques to release restrictions in fascia, soft tissue, membranes and any other tissues that influence the CranioSacral system.
CST has a good reputation for its effectiveness in helping women during and after pregnancy and for many of the ailments of young babies and children. This gentle treatment can ease backache, improve digestive problems of pregnancy and give the expectant mother much-needed relaxation. Mothers and fathers often bring along babies for treatment, suffering from colic, sleeping trouble, complications with breastfeeding and digestive problems. Many women and their partners appreciate skillful help and support both at these stages, and also as their children grow older. Parenting a child can be a challenging time as many new situations are encountered. CranioSacral therapy has been a valuable resource for parents and their children over many years.
As a highly skilled, advanced practitioner I am, while “listening” to my client’s physical signals through manual manipulation and technique, able to support the client’s body’s ability to release and and enable healing to occur. This is vitally important when working with children who may, understandably, have means of communication and limited control over some aspects of their lives and well being. CST enables them to begin the important process of being aware of, and responsible for their own physical and emotional health. It can also enable the child to relax into their body.
